Kalchik, Pratt & Associates, LLC was founded on August 1, 1997 by a group of fidelity and surety claims professionals whose past employment experience included F & D, Swiss Re, Surety Support Services, Inc., Thomas Howell Group and its successor Crawford-THG (a wholly owned subsidiary of Crawford & Company).  Their combined years of experience have created a solid foundation from which to launch their services.  

Kalchik, Pratt & Associates, LLC, as with its predecessors, has been structured to be able to address virtually every fidelity and surety claim related function except prosecuting litigation. This includes audit services, field investigation, coverage analysis, salvage/subrogation, and litigation monitoring and management. 

Our areas of concentration include Surety, Fidelity, Directors & Officers, Employment Practice, Trust Department E & O, Audit/Office Relief Services, Expert Witness Testimony and International Claims Investigation.

Each of our claim professionals have extensive personal experience in their field and a commitment to continuing education and maintaining familiarity with developments in policy forms and judicial interpretation of coverage.   KPA is comprised of Attorneys, CPA, and Engineers.   Our claims professionals have memberships in or commitments to the ABA, the Illinois CPA Society, Surety Claims Institute, National Bond Claim Association and the Fidelity Law Association.
